SOMERS, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police are investigating after a Somers bank was robbed late Thursday morning.
The incident occurred around 11:15 a.m., at Webster Bank, located at 637 Main St.
After receiving several 911 calls and bank alarms, police responded to the scene and began a search of the area.
The scene was then secured by police.
After investigating, police determined that the suspect is a white male in his early 20's, who was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, white and blue bandana covering his face, sunglasses, blue jeans and black gloves with stripes at the time of the robbery.
The suspect ran into the bank and jumped over the counter to the teller stations demanding money. No weapon was displayed or implied.
The suspect then jumped back over the counter and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. He fled from a rear parking lot/wood line of an adjacent church, and drove away from the scene in a dark colored sedan.
The suspect vehicle traveled north on Battle St.
No one was injured during the robbery.
The CT Bankers Association is offering a $2,000 reward for the arrest of the suspect.
State Police are investigating.
