EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- An East Hartford lab employee was arrested for voyeurism after a camera was discovered in the ladies' bathroom.
Police have seized a camera in the women's bathroom at the Hydro Horning Labs in East Hartford.
Arrest papers tell a shocking story of many victims all caught on camera. It started when a woman in the bathroom found the camera and called police.
Arrested, Darrel Lewis. Police say he admitted to video taping inside the women's bathrooms in East Hartford but also at his church in Glastonbury.
Of the many victims, police say one was an 11-year-old girl that he attended church with.
"I think this is demented. I think there is something wrong with the guy. It's definitely sick," said Dick Tasillo of Glastonbury.
News 8 went to his house to get his side of the story but when he saw our cameras the house went dark.
According to the court papers Lewis allegedly used a lot of different bathrooms. Not only did he use 2 at the church but two at work as well as a friends bathroom.
Police say he was able to name 9 women off the top of his head that he had taped and all of the women were women he knew. Police say he has been doing this since 2009.
"He must have quite the library," said Lynette Wilson of Glastonbury. "It could be anyone, it could be at work, it could be at a gas station, it could be in the library. It could be anywhere."
As a matter of fact, police say Lewis admitted to editing the videos and keeping files on each women on external hard drives and in most cases police say, he had many videos of each victim.
"There was a girl a couple of months ago. Her landlord was filming her and she caught it. It is foremost on your mind when it is on the news and then you forget about it and you kind of go about your business and hope people don't do terrible things like that, but they do," said Wilson.
