Simsbury, Conn. (WTNH) - Police are looking for a man involved in the attempted abduction of two 12-year-old girls.
The girls were walking in the area of Washburn Drive in Simsbury when they say a tan or gray Jeep Grand CherokeeĀ drove by them.
The car drove up the road a little, then turned around and stopped near the girls.
The car's driver yelled out the window for the pair to get into his car, the girls told police.
The girls ran off and the car drove away.
Now police are looking for the driver of that car. According to the girls, the man was a balding Hispanic with facial hair and a heavy accent. He was wearing a jacket or heavy sweatshirt.
The Simsbury Police Department is asking residents that may have seen a vehicle that matches this description to call Detective Sergeant Tom Sheehan at 860-658-3140.
