Police looking for "pot belly" thief

NAUGATUCK, Conn. (WTNH) -- Naugatuck police hope someone can identify a man with a "pot belly" who robbed a Citgo gas station Tuesday night and tried to rob a second.
Police say the Citgo station on New Haven Road was robbed around 7:30 p.m.
A man bought a drink, then pulled out a knife and demanded money from the clerk. But the clerk fought back, and the would-be thief got away with no money.
Police say the man then went to the Citgo station on Union City Road in Prospect, flash the same knife, and this time stole some money.
Police are looking for a white man, between 40 and 50 years old, and heavyset with a “pot belly”, accoording to a police news release. He was wearing jeans, a blue checkered flannel shirt over a grey hoodie, and white sneakers.
