NEW CANAAN, Conn. (AP) — New Canaan police say the victims of a murder-suicide on Friday afternoon were a 48-year-old local man and his 52-year-old wife.
Authorities have identified the couple as James Owen and Billie Faigout-Owen, who were found shot to death in their Park Street home.
Police say preliminary findings from their investigation show that James Owen shot his wife and turned the gun on himself. Authorities haven't released a motive.
The chief medical examiner's office is performing autopsies on the couple's bodies.
Police responded to reports of gunshots at the condominium complex at about 2:30 p.m. Friday.
