WASSAIC, N.Y. (AP) — State police say a state worker has been accused of sexually abusing a person getting help from the agency that provides services for the mentally and developmentally disabled in the Hudson Valley.
Troopers say 49-year-old Dwayne Moody of Falls Village, Conn., was charged with second-degree criminal sex act, a felony, and misdemeanor endangering the welfare of an incompetent person after an investigation at the Taconic Developmental Disabilities Services Office in Wassaic.
The office is run by the state Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities.
Moody was being held Thursday at the Dutchess County Jail. Authorities weren't available to say if he has a lawyer.
