HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Hartford police have recovered two of the three mini-vehicles that were stolen from the Shriners in Newington.
The hand-made Jeep-like vehicles are a popular attraction at parades.
Police say they were discovered missing from the Sphinx Shriners Motor Patrol of Newington's car transport on Sept. 27.
Police say they were acting on a tip when they found the little cars Tuesday in The Tag Sale Store pawn shop in Hartford, along with a lot of other stolen goods.
Police have charged the store's owner, 48-year-old Edwin Valentine of Hartford, with larceny. He was being held Tuesday in lieu of $10,000 bail.
