BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) -- A brief wrong-way chase on Interstate 95 ended without injuries Tuesday and only minor damage to two vehicles, Bridgeport police said.
Cops are still piecing together details of the incident, which began in Bridgeport and ended in Stratford at about 2:30 p.m.
The chase began when a suspect, driving a tan Nissan Pathfinder, began to flee a narcotics detail on Fairfield Avenue in Bridgeport. At that point, the suspect's SUV was heading northbound in the northbound side.
After reaching Stratford, the vehicle left the highway at Exit 31, drove on a few side streets, and then proceeded up the opposite-side exit ramp, heading northbound in the southbound lane.
