BLOOMFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police are searching for a male suspect who robbed a Shell Gas Station in Bloomfield over the weekend.
On Sunday around 3:00 a.m. police responded to the report of an attemtped robbery at the Shell Gas Station at 991 Blue Hills Avenue.
The employee told officers that a black male wearing a ski mask entered the store, said he had a gun and demanded all of the money from the cash register.
The employee then brandished a machete and ordered the suspect out of the business. The suspect removed his mask and then fled the area on foot.
The suspect is a heavy set black male approximately 5'10'', 250-275 lbs, mid to late 30's. He was last seen wearing khaki pants and a black zip up hooded sweatshirt.
The weapon was implied, not shown and no injuries were reported, police said.
