WOODBRIDGE, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect who committed an armed robbery at a Woodbridge bank earlier this month.
The robbery occurred around 10 a.m., at a Citizens Bank, located at 194 Amity Rd.
Police said the lone male entered the bank displaying a handgun. He immediately vaulted over the tellers counter and demanded money.
The suspect then filled two bags with cash, vaulted back over the counter, and exited the bank. He was last seen walking south on Amity Rd. towards New Haven.
The suspect is described as a dark-skinned man, approximately 5'8"-6' tall, with a large build. He was wearing a white-colored t-shirt with a "Sherwin Williams" paint logo on the front and back, white painters pants, green knee pads, a dark-colored baseball cap with a grey brim, and purple mechanic style gloves. His head and face were covered with an orange nylon stocking type material.
Anyone with information leading to the identification and arrest of the person responsible for this bank robbery may be eligible for a reward up to $2,000 from the CT Bankers Association. They are asked to contact the Woodbridge Police Department Detective Bureau at 203-387-2512, extensions 18 or 33.
