Police search for West Haven hotel robber

West Haven, Conn. (WTNH) - Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place at a West Haven hotel Sunday morning.

The incident took place just before 2 a.m., at the Hampton Inn Hotel, located at 510 Sawmill Rd.

According to police, a black man with a short build, dressed in black, displayed a knife and demanded cash from a clerk working the front desk.

The suspect took some money, fleeing on foot onto Sawmill Rd.

No one was injured.
