Police search for West Haven Walgreens robber

WEST HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police are asking for the public's help in identifying two people wanted in connection with an armed robbery committed at a West Haven Walgreens.

The robbery occurred on January 6th, at Walgreens located at 394 Campbell Ave.

According to police, a female victim said that she exited Walgreens around 2:45 a.m. and was getting into her vehicle when she was approached by a white or Hispanic man around 6' tall, 20-30 years old, wearing a tan knit hat and scruffy facial hair.

Police said the suspect then pointed what appeared to be a 9mm handgun in her back and demanded money. The suspect then attempted to force the victim into the passenger seat and demanded her keys, but the victim fled back into Walgreens and called 911.

The suspect got away with the victims purse containing cash, debit cards and an expensive name brand purse.

Police said a white or Hispanic female was seen with the male suspect and is wanted for questioning.
