BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (CTPost.com) -- A pregnant woman attempting to turn into her driveway was hospitalized Monday evening after a man who was being chased by police drove into the side of her sports utility vehicle, causing it to roll over, police said.
The woman, who is nine months pregnant, was not seriously injured, said Lt. James Perez, a Fairfield police spokesman.
The police pursuit began in Fairfield around 5:15 p.m. and ended on Dewey Street in Bridgeport, near Salt Street. Speeds never exceeded 40 miles per hour during the chase, Perez said.
