Preston, CT (WTNH) - A Preston man was sentenced to 46 months in prison for child pornography charges, earlier today.
Curtis Alan Spicer, 53, was sentenced to 46 months in federal prison, followed by 10 years supervised release for possessing child pornography.
According to David B. Fein, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, in January of 2009, Spicer was interviewed by Connecticut Computer Crimes Task Force in regards to the illegal possession of child pornography. During the interview, Spicer admitted that he had downloaded child porn from the internet for several years.
After investigating, police found thousands of images and hundreds of videos of child pornography on Spicer's computer.
Under Spicer's 10-year term of supervised released, he must register as a sex offender and have no unsupervised contact with children under the age of 18.
Spicer was also ordered to pay a $10,000 fine.
