Prostitution arrest in Ledyard

LEDYARD, Conn. (WTNH)-- A man and woman were arrested for prostitution in Ledyard, early Saturday morning.
Police responded to a report of larceny at the Two Trees Hotel at 240 Indiantown Road, around 2:40 AM, when they determined a male and female agreed to have sex in exchange for money.
Uniqua Newton, 18, New London, was charged with prostitution and interfering with police. Liyun Lin, 25, Massachusetts, was charged with patronizing a prostitute.
Police say Lin contacted hotel security after he got into a disagreement with Newton, that led her to flee the room.
During the investigation, Newton also tried to provide police fake information.
Both were held on $500 bond.
