HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Connecticut state police have arrested 13 people, including a radio personality, accused of involvement in an illegal sports betting ring.
The gambling operation was allegedly based in and around Hartford.
Police said they seized several luxury cars, including a Ferrari and a Mercedes Benz, that were purchased with proceeds from the betting.
Among those arrested was Joseph Schlosser, a radio sports talk show host who uses the on-air name Sebastian.
WTIC operations manager Steven Salhany told the Hartford Courant that Sebastian's program would not air Thursday night, but declined further comment.
The newspaper said Schlosser could not be reached for comment.
