Trumbull, Conn. (WTNH) - Two men were arrested in connection with an early morning robbery in Trumbull Saturday.
The incident happened around 1 a.m., at a residence on Grayrock Road.
Police said the residents of the home called 911 saying they had been robbed in their driveway, upon exiting their vehicle. The suspect was described as a single man, wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a covering across part of his face. The man was holding a weapon and demanded all of the victim's property before fleeing on foot.
Police quickly arrived on the scene with a k9 and were able to track the suspect to a neighboring home, located at 58 Grayrock Rd. Once there, police could see the suspect, later identified as Sean Michael Delaney Kosmicki, 20, of 10 Lockwood Circle, Westport, as rummaging through a purse.
When Kosmicki spotted officers he ran into a furnace room within the basement of the home. Police ordered Kosmicki to surrender, and when he refused they released a police k9. Kosmicki then surrendered after suffering a dog bite to his knee. He was treated at the hospital and taken into custody.
While searching the home for other possible suspects, police found Sergio Paul, 19, who lives at 58 Grayrock Rd., in possession of stolen items from the robbery. Paul was also taken into custody.
All of the stolen items were recovered, along with a knife used in the robbery.
Paul was charged with sixth-degree larceny, possession of narcotics, and conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery. He is being held on $150,000 bond.
Kosmicki was charged with fifth-degree larceny, two counts of first-degree robbery, interfering with an officer, and possession of narcotics. He is being held on $250,000 bond.
