STRATFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Home owners are asking for help with a park. They say it keeps getting hit by vandals and nothing is being done.
The damage to Stratford's Topla Park is quickly seen once you walk on the property.
The play-scape was recently burned, off-color graffiti is written in a variety of places, and parents say they frequently pick up small "dime-bags" used to carry drugs.
Neighbors say they are fed up.
"We all did things bad, but not this bad," said Ray Roldan, of Stratford. "This is a beautiful park."
"I thought it was disgusting," said Kristin Tenk, of Stratford. "The kids love to come here and play, so it's upsetting the older kids are ruining it for the younger ones."
News 8 contacted the Mayor's office, who told us this is the first he's heard of the problem and will look into it.
Park-goers are hoping for more police security and better lighting.
