WESTPORT, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Trumbull man was arrested after a road rage incident in Westport Tuesday.
The incident occurred around 6 p.m., on Wilton Road.
A woman called 911 reporting that she and her son were traveling southbound on Wilton Rd. when a black-colored SUV passed their vehicle in a no passing zone.
The two vehicles then came to a stop at the intersection of Wilton and Kings Highway North. An occupant in the complainant's vehicle approached the SUV. When they reached the passenger side of the vehicle, it was reported that the driver of the SUV pointed a black semi automatic handgun at him. The driver of the SUV then sped off, heading eastbound on Kings Highway.
The complainants were able to get the registration on the SUV, which was listed out of Trumbull.
Trumbull police were advised of the incident and located the registered owner of the SUV, 43-year-old Andrew Blum, at his home.
Blum was in possession of a Glock 23 40 caliber semi automatic handgun.
Blum was charged with second-degree threatening and second-degree reckless endangerment.
He was released on a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Court on October 12th.
The handgun was seized as evidence. Police said the firearm was registered to Blum and he had a carry permit for the weapon.
