WATERBURY, Conn. (AP) — A second man has been convicted in the killing of a Waterbury bar owner who was shot during a robbery in 1998.

The Republican-American reports that a Waterbury Superior Court jury convicted 38-year-old Thomas Bonilla of felony murder and accessory to murder Thursday. He was the second of three brothers charged in the killing of Wilfred Morales to be convicted.

Morales was shot in the heart during a robbery while returning to his Waterbury home. The killing went unsolved until the ex-wife of one of the brothers implicated him. Bonilla and his two brothers, Victor Santiago and Noel Bermudez, were arrested in 2010.

Santiago is serving life in prison and Bermudez awaits trial. Bonilla is scheduled to be sentenced July 12 to up to life in prison.
