BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) — A 40-year-old Bridgeport man has died just over a week after he was shot in the face.

Bridgeport Hospital officials tell the Connecticut Post that Voiese Pinn died Friday.

Pinn was hit by a bullet on Sept. 8 as he sat in a car on Bishop Avenue across the street from the Bishop Corner Cafe. A small child was in the back seat of the car, but was not injured.

Police say Vinn was conscious and calm when they arrived at the scene of the shooting.

No arrests have been made.
