NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- A man is recovering after he was injured during a shooting in New Haven.
A resident approached two officers around 6:45 p.m. Monday night after witnessing a shooting on Dixwell Avenue, near Henry Street.
Several witness reported that an occupant of a grey Toyota shot at a dirt bike rider, who found cover behind a parked car.
Another car stopped at the intersection was hit by a bullet in the windshield. Either part of the projectile or part of the windshield struck him in the nose. His injury was minor.
When the Toyota drove off, the victim tried, but failed, to get into another car stopped at the intersection.
The shooting is under investigation. Police have not identified the victim or the gunman.
The bike was seized as evidence.
