Illegal immigrant charged in attack

Stamford, Connecticut (WTNH) - A 20-year old illegal immigrant has been charged with the attack of a Stamford woman.

The alleged attack happened April 12th. Surveillance cameras from nearby businesses caught Angel and the 37-year old victim on tape. Several people came forward and were able to identify Angel, providing his name and address. The victim was also able to identify Angel in a photo line up.

The victim is still recovering from her injuries which included stitches to her neck, face, head and arms, as well as a broken arm.

Angel is being held on a $250,000 bond. Immigration and Naturalization Service has been notified of his arrest.
