HARTFORD, Conn. (Stamford Advocate) -- A state employee who works in a government accountability office was arrested Wednesday and charged with workers compensation fraud.
Mary Beth Anderson, 53, of Highview Drive in Harwinton, allegedly submitted forged documents in connection with claims she filed for workers' compensation benefits while employed as a paralegal at the Office of the Secretary of the State.
She was also charged with one count of second-degree larceny and four counts of second-degree forgery, said Mark A. Dupuis, spokesman for the state Department of Criminal Justice.
