East Hampton, Conn. (WTNH) - An East Hampton man was arrested Friday for stealing the purse of an elderly woman last month.
Police said on January 15th, John Paul Fournier, stole the pocketbook of an 86-year-old woman as she was loading groceries into her car, in a handicapped parking spot at Stop & Shop.
Fournier, 23, of 45 Forest St., was charged with sixth-degree larceny and disorderly conduct.
Fournier was in custody on unrelated charges at the time of his arrest. He was arraigned and held on $25,000 bond.
Police said Fournier is also responsible for another similar crime that took place on January 16th at the Stop & Shop in Glastonbury.
