NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police in New London have formally charged one of two suspects in connection with a 2006 cold-case homicide.
The homicide occurred on December 22, 2006, on the sidewalk in front of Ernie's Cafe, located at 55 Bank St.
The victim, Todd Thomas, died from multiple gunshot wounds he sustained during the incident.
After investigating, police presented evidence and testimony before a judge regarding two subjects believed to be directly involved in the homicide. Arrest warrants were issued late last week charging Darius Armadore and Gerjuan Tyus with murder.
Armadore, 33, was arraigned in a New London court on the charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder. He was transported from the Northern Correctional Facility in Somers to New London where he was arrested by police and arraigned. He is being held on a $1 million bond.
Tyus, 32, is scheduled to be arrested and charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder when he is transported to New London from a state correctional institute on November 20th. Tyus will appear in court following his arrest and will be held on a $1 million bond.
