THOMPSON, Conn. (WTNH) -- A suspect, who indicated they had a gun, robbed a Cumberland Farms convenience store late Friday night, police say.
Around 11:30 p.m. Friday, police received a 911 call from the clerk at the Cumberland Farms convenience store, at 854 Riverside Drive in the North Grosvenordale section of Thompson.
Shortly after 11:20 p.m., a subject approached the clerk with a note, indicating that they had a gun and that they were demanding money and cigarettes.
The clerk handed the items over to the suspect, who immediately fled the store.
The suspect is described as a young adult, about 5'5" tall and average build. At the time of the robbery, they were wearing a brown hooded jacket, blue jeans, sneakers and a cloth over their face.
