Bridgeport, Conn. (WTNH) - A 17-year-old Bridgeport teen is charged in connection with the second of two sexual assault cases in a Black Rock neighborhood.
Word of the arrest steadily made its way through Hope and Monroe Streets after two home invasion assaults in the past two weeks had everyone on alert.
“I'm glad they finally caught him,” one father told News 8. “I’ve got kids in the house. I have a 12-year-old daughter.”
17-year-old Terrance Easton of Bridgeport was arraigned Friday morning. His father, who brought Terrance to the police Thursday night, is worried, but is standing by his son.
“I think something is wrong,” Curtis Gay, Terrance Easton’s father said. “I don't think he did it.”
Police say this is a high priority investigation and believe the evidence collected will be able to connect Easton to both sexual assaults.
Bridgeport police and the neighborhood watch will be talking to residents Saturday about safety and hopefully to help calm people’s fears.

The victim replied: “Well, maybe so, if there’s not another one out there. Let’s hope he is the one. Let’s hope he’s really and truly the one.”
Easton is in police custody on $1 million bond.
Again, he’s been charged in the second of the two home invasion sexual assaults reported in the Black Rock section of Bridgeport. Police say the will soon have enough evidence to charge him in both cases.
This may be hard to believe in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy, but an annual …
