NORWICH, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Norwich teen was arrested after leading police in a brief chase in a stolen vehicle Friday night.

Around 7 p.m., police received a report of a stolen vehicle.

A short time later, an officer observed the vehicle traveling in the Greenville section of the city.

The officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but the operator refused and engaged Norwich police in a pursuit.

The chase continued into Preston onto Route 165 and State Police were advised.

The vehicle was stopped by Norwich police officers in Preston.

Roland A. Euell, 19, of 33 Providence St., in Norwich, was charged with third-degree larceny, engaging an officer in pursuit, reckless driving, and operating under suspension.

Police said Euell knew the owner of the vehicle.

Euell is being held on a $50,000 bond.
