MIDDLEBURY, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police are investigating a home invasion in which two suspects entered a Middlebury home stealing cash from children's bedrooms, jewelry and more.
The incident happened around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, at a home on Yale Avenue.
Police said two children were home when the two suspects entered the residence. The suspects then went upstairs to the bedrooms and stole $19 in cash from the children's bedrooms, kicked in the master bedroom door and took assorted jewelry, a CD player, and what is believed to be a pellet gun.
The children, a 12-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy, were not injured.
The first suspect is described as a white man, in his 30s, 5'4" tall, thin build, wearing a beige baseball cap, blue jeans and a white shirt.
The second suspect is described as a white woman, 5'8" tall, very thin, with brown hair tied up in a bun, wearing a red shirt, and blue jeans.
Police said the suspects left in a newer white cargo van with a black logo on the upper portion of the rear of the van, and a blue ladder on the roof.
