TORRINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) -- Torrington police have identified a suspect in an apartment complex shooting that took place over the weekend.
Police pulled over one car that was speeding away from the Woodland Hills apartment complex on Saturday, July 21. Shortly thereafter, another car pulled over. Both drivers told police they were being shot at inside the complex.
Back at the apartment complex, officers found numerous cartridge cases and bullets.
Officers have identified the shooter as 32-year-old Raul A. Delgado, who also goes by Alex. He is about 5'5" tall, 140-150 pounds with a thin build.
There is a warrant for his arrest and a $750,000 court set bond attached to the case.
Delgado is wanted on charges that include criminal attempt to commit assault in the first degree, unlawful discharge of a firearm, and risk of injury to a minor.
Police say his last known address was at the Woodland Hills apartment complex, where the shooting happened, but he has lived in Danbury, Meriden and Waterbury.
Police believed Delgado may have been operating a green 2001 Buick Century, bearing CT Registration 714YYS. The car has 22 inch bright chrome rims.
The Buick was recovered by police around noon Monday. The vehicle has been impounded and will be processed for physical evidence.
Anyone with any information is asked to call the Torrington Police Department at 860-489-2007 or directly to Detective James Crean at 860-489-2061.
