EAST LYME, Conn. (AP) — A Massachusetts man wanted on human trafficking charges has been arrested by police who caught up with him at a hotel in East Lyme.
Anthony Maness, of Framingham, was wanted on a warrant charging him with deriving support from earnings of a prostitute and trafficking persons for sexual servitude.
He was arrested Monday after Massachusetts state police asked for help locating the 37-year-old Maness. Police said he was staying with a female at the hotel, and he fled with her into a nearby wooded area after he was tipped that police were looking for him. The female was described by police as a possible victim.
Police said Maness was taken into custody after an officer saw him try to enter a vehicle. He is charged as a fugitive from justice.
