Brothers charged in Plymouth homicide

Plymouth, Conn (WTNH) - Two brothers from Waterbury are being charged in connection to a homicide in Plymouth.

19-year-old Dylan Sherman's body was found Wednesday afternoon in the woods near Lane Hill Road in the Terryville section of town.

A hiker found the Sherman's body near Buttermilk Falls.

"He is going to be loved and missed, and I can't believe these jerks did that," said Lorry Brown, Sherman's friend.

Police have arrested two brothers, Michael Guerrera, 20, and Dennis Guerrera, 21, of Waterbury, but they have not been charged with murder. They have been charged with unlawful restraint, assault, and conspiracy.

Lorry Brown believes others are involved, and that he was lured away, attacked, held down, and beat with a baseball bat.

"I'm glad they got the two people who did it, and whoever else is involved I hope they are going to get them. He didn't deserve this," Brown said. When asked if she knew for sure that more people were involved, Brown answered, "Oh yeah. I mean his ex-girlfriend supposedly called his sister, and I hope she goes down for all of this, along with everyone else. Why couldn't they talk rationally? He did not deserve a beating. For what?"

"They took a baseball bat, and there were two of them. This is what I heard. Baseball bat. He was trying to get away from them, and I guess she was trying to get away from them," said Henry Robinson from Bristol.

"A 19-year-old getting beaten by how many people, one against how many? That is stupid, stupid. It shouldn't have happened," said Brown.

The Guerrera brothers are being held on $500,00 bond each, and are due in court Friday.

State Police are still investigating.
