TERRYVILLE, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police are investigating the discovery of two bodies in the Terryville section of Plymouth.
Police cordoned off the Plymouth Motor Lodge on Main Street Sunday night after they received a 911 call about a 43-year-old woman found dead in a room there. The woman has been identified as Bobbi Jean Olsen, of 325 East Main St., Plymouth.
At the same exact time, another call came into 911 about a 45-year-old man found dead behind an apartment building less than a mile away from the hotel. The man has been identified as Terryville resident Robert Peters.
"Well, I got a phone call from an employee about six last night that one of my tenants was dead in the parking lot," said Andrew Howe.
Howe works for the man who owns the building and says all signs point to an accident.
"He was laying on the sidewalk," Howe said. "From what I gather he fell off our balcony."
Despite the calls coming in at approximately the same time and the victims being close in age, police say the two incidents are completely unrelated.
"Completely separate," said Lt. J. Paul Vance, CT State Police. "There is nothing to link both scenes together at all. They just coincidentally came in almost simultaneously to the police department."
State police were called in to help as the usually quiet Terryville section of Plymouth suddenly had to deal with two serious investigations.
"I knew that it was two at once because they were bouncing back and forth trying to take care of both scenes at once," said Howe, "but it was definitely a busy night for Terryville."
Police labeled both deaths suspicious, but said the public did not have to worry about a murderer on the loose.
According to the medical examiner's office, Peters died of blunt force trauma and Olsen died of natural causes.
