Two men invade a New Britain apartment

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police are looking for two men who allegedly tried to break into a home early Thursday morning. One of them was believed to have been armed with a gun.

Police responded to 75 Willow Street at about 2 a.m. Thursday, for the report of a home invasion.

A resident told police that two men attempted to enter an apartment through a window. The resident inside the home was able to fight off one of the men before he and another man fled the scene.

One of the male suspects, who was wearing a mask, displayed a gun during the incident.

The second suspect was believed to have been wearing a red hooded sweatshirt. Police say he left in the direction of Putnam Street.
