NORWICH, Conn. (WTNH)-- Norwich police arrested two men after seizing 800 bags of heroin, when they were pulled over by police on Saturday night.

Police say there were conducting a suspicious motor vehicle stop around 11:30 PM, when they found 800 bags of heroin pre-packaged for street sales, and $1,1000 in cash.

Colin Frechette, 23, of Moosup, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of probation.

The passenger of the car, George Kazakidis, 27, of Gilman, was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as failure to appear for a previous charge, and interfering with an officer, after attempting to give police false identification.

Police say the heroin in Frechette's vehicle is worth an estimated $8,000 in street value.

Frechette posted his $75,000 bond and will appear in court January 8th.

Kazakidis is being held on $500 bond pending his arraignment on December 24th.
