Two people shot in home invasion

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Two people were shot during a home invasion on Friday evening, police said.

Police say that around 8:30 p.m. Friday, a male suspect invaded a home at 116 Brook Street.

Witnesses told police that the man fired shots when he entered the home and a struggle followed. The suspect then fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a 6' tall Hispanic man with a medium build. He fled the scene in a grey or silver car.

One of the shooting victims was shot in the arm and the other was shot in the hand. Both injuries were non-life threatening.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call police.
