HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Two people are recovering this morning after being shot during a home invasion in Hartford.
Called brazen and violent, the crime happened around 10:30 Monday night at a home at 1060 Capitol Avenue, when police responded to reports of a person shot.
Upon arrival, officers found a person unconscious on the ground inside with a gunshot wound. At the same time, officers learned that there was a second victim that arrived at Saint Francis Hospital.
The victim found inside the home was sent to St. Francis where both victims went under surgery.
After investigating, police determined that an unknown amount of armed suspects entered the apartment, a struggle occurred, and the two victims were shot.
The suspects then fled the home in an unknown direction.
Police have not said whether they have identified any suspects or made any arrests.
The incident remains under investigation.
