Unoccupied Stonington homes burglarized

STONINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police in Stonington are warning residents to protect their valuables after a string of recent residential burglaries.

According to Stonington police, four burglaries were reported in the Courtland St., Field St., and Lathrop Ave. area between 5 p.m. Wednesday night and the early morning hours Thursday.

All of the burglaries occurred in unoccupied homes and forced entry was used, police said.

Anyone who might have seen anything suspicious in these areas during that time period are asked to contact Stonington police.
