Vernon mom allegedly broke child's leg

VERNON, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Vernon woman was arrested Friday for allegedly breaking her child's leg.

Police said the arrest came after a two-month investigation that began after Jennifer Caraballo, 24, of 161 Main St. Apt. 4, brought her four-month old child to CCMC with a fractured leg.

The child is now in the care of the Department of Children and Families.

Caraballo was charged with assault and risk of injury to a child.

Bond was set at $8,000. Caraballo is scheduled to appear in court on May 15th.
