WALLINGFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Wallingford man was arrested after police found more than a dozen lbs. of marijuana plants in his home.
As a result of "marijuana eradication flights" in Wallingford, police seized more than 130 marijuana plants, weighing approximately 52 lbs.
Four different illegal marijuana cultivation sites were found, once of which was located at 891 North Farms Rd. Eighty two marijuana plants weighing approximately 14 lbs. were seized from the home.
David Belasco, 56, of 891 North Farms Rd., was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of more than four ounces of marijuana, cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, risk of injury to minor, and possession of marijuana within 1,500 feet of a school/daycare.
Belasco was held on a $2,500 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on August 20th.
Additional cultivation sites were found in a wooded area by the intersection of Sterling Dr. and Enterprise Dr. (31 marijuana plants), in a wooded area off Barns Rd. (30 marijuana plants), and in a wooded area off I-691 in Meriden (22 marijuana plants).
