WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police are investigating a home invasion that happened in West Hartford early Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred around 1:15 a.m., at 6 Chesterfield La.

Upon arrival, police entered the home and found three residents who had locked themselves in different rooms in the home.

Based on information gathered from the residents, police said three suspects entered the home, stole items, and then fled the scene. The suspects were only in the home for approximately five minutes.

Police said a handgun was displayed by one of the suspects.

None of the residents were injured during the incident.

Police said based on observations at the scene, it does not appear the incident was random, but that the residence was targeted by the suspects.

The homeowner, Marc Abrahms, was not home at the time of the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
