NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police arrested a 20-year-old woman Wednesday for a domestic violence assault that happened earlier this month.

The incident occurred on December 1st, at 151 Garfield Ave.

On that date, police responded to Lawrence & Memorial Hospital on the report of a stabbing victim in the emergency room.

While investigating, officers learned that 20-year-old Rasharra J. Hines stabbed a 22-year-old man in the chest with a edged weapon during a domestic dispute at the Garfield Ave. home.

After getting statements from both parties involved, police applied for an arrest warrant for Hines.

Hines was charged with first-degree assault and was held on a $75,000 court set bond.
