NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Massachusetts woman was shot in New Haven following a reported argument.
Police reported to the area of 29 Harding Place after the city's Shot-Spotter system was activated by several gunshots around 2:30 Saturday morning. 911 callers also reported an argument and a woman who had been shot, police said.
Deyja Jackson, 32, suffered a gunshot wound to her stomach and was taken by ambulance to Yale-New Haven Hospital, police said.
Her condition is listed as serious.
Investigators learned the victim was one of two people standing on the porch of that address, when she was shot.
The shooting is being investigated.
