MADISON, Conn. (WTNH) -- Madison police are looking for a suspect who stole a woman's purse outside the local Stop & Shop.
The incident happened outside the grocery store located at 136 Samson Rock Road around 8 p.m. Tuesday night.
Police say a white male approached a 55-year-old woman, who was seated in her car, grabbed her purse and ran away.
The woman was not injured.
Now police are searching for the man, who is about 20-years-old with a thin build and dark, curly hair. He left the scene in a dark green 4-door sedan, possibly a Pontiac Bonneville, with Connecticut license plates.
Witnesses told officers that the last three characters of the license plate were "ZAC."
