HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A man has been arrested after he was involved in a kidnapping and sexual assault at a motel, police said.
Police say that Danny Famania, 34, and another male suspect tied up two young women at the Travel Inn Motel at 100 Weston Street. The victims told police the two men proceeded to sexually assault them.
The incident was reported to have taken place on Friday night.
Famania, who was in possession of a large quantity of heroin and cocaine, was arrested on Saturday. The second suspect, a juvenile, was later found after stealing a car from one of the victims.
The two victims were treated at a local hospital.
News 8 has learned that Famania was convicted of failing to register as a sex offender back in 2004.
