Fairfield, Conn. (WTNH) - Schools in Weston, Monroe and Fairfield dismissed early today because of weather concerns.
Power outages have also forced the High Road Learning Center in Wallingford and Driggs Elementary in Waterbury to dismiss early.
Dismissal times in Fairfield:
Fairfield Ludlowe High - 11:55am
Fairfield Warde - 12:05pm
Middle schools - 12:40pm
Holland Hill - 12:55pm
All other elementary schools - 1:40pm
Pre-K sessions at Burr and McKinley are cancelled
Dismissal times in Weston:
Weston High and Weston Middle schools - 11:45am
Hurlbutt Elementary & Weston Intermediate - 12:35pm
All afternoon and evening activities cancelled
Dismissal times in Monroe:
Masuk - 11:55am
Jockey Hollow, Chalk Hall & Monroe Elementary - 12:45pm
Fawn Hollow - 1:30pm
Stepney - 1:30pm
No PM Pre-K or Kindergarten
At Fairfield Ward High School, the early dismissal seemed to cause a lot of confusion.
"We weren't really aware about why we were getting dismissed, it was kinda chaotic," said Carolyn Rainville, a senior at Ward.
