MILFORD, Conn. (AP) - Milford Superintendent of Schools Harvey Polansky is asking a state judge to block school officials from trying to fire him after his arrest on misdemeanor sexual assault charges involving two female principals.
Polansky's lawyer, Frederick Dorsey, says he filed for an injunction in Superior Court on Wednesday to block termination hearings planned by the school board next week. Dorsey says he's hoping a judge hears Polansky's request before then.
An attorney for the school board said the injunction request wasn't unexpected, but declined further comment.
Polansky was arrested in January after the principals alleged he repeatedly kissed them on their lips, hugged them and touched their buttocks. He has been on paid leave since November and has filed papers to retire in June.
