Thompson schools dismissing early

Wind knocks out power

Thompson, Conn. (WTNH) - Public schools in Thompson will be dismissing early today after strong winds knocked out power.

High school and middle school students will be getting out at 12:15pm. Elementary schools will be letting out at 1:15pm. There will be no after school activities.

High winds are expected most of the day as severe weather rolls through the state. There's even a tornado watch issued for Litchfield and Fairfield counties until 6pm. Click here for complete forecast details.
