BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (CTPost.com) -- The level of security at Tuesday night's Avicii concert at the Webster Bank Arena -- which saw 22 people brought to local hospitals -- met all of the requirements, the promoter said Wednesday.
"We had our own security, the venue had security and the police were there," said Ross Atamian of Midnite Society, the concert's promoter. "We were fully compliant with everything."
Arena spokesman Mike Foley said the promoter and the arena each had security staff at the event and Bridgeport police were also present.
Still, the number of concert-goers seeking medical treatment seemed more like the outdoor Gathering of the Vibes than a Tuesday night concert in the Arena, said Lucinda Ames, spokeswoman for St. Vincent Medical Center.
